Tourism Safety in West Bengal
West Bengal is one of the safest tourist destinations in eastern India, welcoming both domestic and international visitors with its rich culture, heritage, and warm hospitality. The state stretches from the fertile Gangetic plains in the south to the Himalayan foothills in the north, offering diverse travel experiences.
Tourists are advised to follow standard safety precautions while travelling. Although a few remote areas in southwestern West Bengal have experienced Maoist-related incidents in the past, popular tourist destinations remain safe and well-protected.
