Payment & Cancellation Policy – SikkimTours.in

All correspondence related to tour packages, travel services, and bookings should be directed to the management of SikkimTours.in.

Booking Confirmation

Your booking is considered confirmed only after:

  • Receipt of the required advance payment.
  • Written confirmation from SikkimTours.in via email, WhatsApp, or other official communication channels.

Payment Terms

Advance Payment

  • A minimum of 50% of the total tour cost is required to confirm your booking.
  • The advance amount secures accommodation, transportation, permits, and other travel arrangements.

Balance Payment

  • The remaining balance must be paid at least 15 days prior to the tour departure date.
  • Bookings made within 15 days of travel require 100% payment at the time of booking.
  • Full payment must be received before the commencement of any tour or travel service.

Peak Season Bookings

For bookings during peak travel periods, including:

  • Christmas & New Year
  • Durga Puja
  • Diwali
  • Long Weekends
  • School Holiday Periods

100% advance payment may be required at the time of booking.

Cancellation & Refund Policy

All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing via email.

Cancellation Charges

Minimum cancellation charges of 10% will apply to all bookings.

After Tour Commencement

  • No refunds will be provided for unused hotel nights, meals, transfers, sightseeing tours, permits, or any other unutilized services.
  • Refunds after tour commencement are subject to recoverable amounts received from hotels, transport operators, or service providers.

Non-Refundable Bookings

No refunds will be applicable for cancellations made during:

  • 20th December to 15th January
  • Major festivals and public holidays
  • Long weekends and special event periods
  • Confirmed permits, entry tickets, adventure activities, or special transportation bookings

Refund Process

  • Approved refunds will be processed within 2–4 weeks, subject to banking procedures.
  • Bank charges, payment gateway fees, and transaction charges may be deducted from the refundable amount.
  • Refunds will be made through the original mode of payment wherever possible.

Hotel Check-In & Check-Out

  • Standard Check-In Time: 12:00 PM
  • Standard Check-Out Time: 12:00 PM

Early check-in and late check-out are subject to hotel availability and may incur additional charges.

For guaranteed early check-in, guests are advised to book the previous night’s accommodation.

Transportation & Vehicle Usage

  • Package costs include transportation only as per the confirmed itinerary.
  • Additional sightseeing, route changes, extra transfers, waiting charges, or extended vehicle usage will be charged separately.
  • Any such charges must be settled directly before completion of the tour.

Booking Changes & Modifications

Reservation Changes

Requests for changes to travel dates, guest names, hotel categories, or tour services must be made in writing.

All modifications are:

  • Subject to availability.
  • Subject to supplier and service provider policies.
  • Not guaranteed until reconfirmed by SikkimTours.in.

Modification Charges

Additional charges may apply depending on:

  • Hotel policies
  • Airline or railway policies
  • Permit regulations
  • Transport provider charges

Any extra costs must be paid before the modification is confirmed.

Communication Policy

Travelers must provide accurate:

  • Mobile number
  • Email address
  • Emergency contact details

All booking confirmations, invoices, updates, and travel documents will be shared through official communication channels.

Guests are responsible for reviewing and responding to communications promptly.

Third-Party Services

SikkimTours.in acts as a travel facilitator and coordinates services provided by:

  • Hotels & Resorts
  • Airlines
  • Railways
  • Transport Operators
  • Activity Providers
  • Local Service Vendors

While every effort is made to ensure smooth operations, we cannot be held responsible for service failures, delays, or changes made by third-party providers.

Limitation of Liability

SikkimTours.in shall not be liable for losses, damages, delays, or expenses arising from:

  • Flight, train, or transport cancellations
  • Road closures, landslides, snowfall, floods, or adverse weather conditions
  • Political disturbances, strikes, government restrictions, or public emergencies
  • Natural disasters and force majeure events
  • Technical issues affecting payment processing or communication systems

Travelers are advised to remain flexible, particularly when traveling in mountainous regions such as Sikkim, Darjeeling, and Northeast India.

Travel Insurance

We strongly recommend purchasing comprehensive travel insurance covering:

  • Medical emergencies
  • Trip cancellation
  • Trip interruption
  • Personal accident
  • Baggage loss or delay

Travel insurance is not included in the package price unless specifically mentioned.
